Get involved

By spokes and by folks

Byspokes works with a thriving network of farms and community projects around the world, many in challenging physical and sociopolitical environments.  Much of our funding comes from grassroots campaigning, with our old favourite, the sponsored bike ride playing a major role.

There are several ways to get involved with Byspokes and to help us in our work:

Volunteer in our network

Got some time to spare and want to do something exciting and rewarding, meet new people and learn new skills?  There are a number of opportunities for you within our network, for example: helping out on an organic farm in Palestine, helping to build a Permaculture centre in Kashmir, working on a community learning project in Egypt and many more.  Kindly note that since our partners are grassroots projects, this work has to be self-funded, including contributions to hosts to cover living expenses.  Contact info@byspokes.org to find out more…

Attend a training course

We offer full length. fully accredited Permaculture Design Certificate courses, weekend specialist trainings in an array of sustainable farming oriented topics (e.g. agroforestry, aquaponics etc.) and trainings for aspiring volunteers.  Watch our website and facebook page for upcoming opportunities!

Help us fundraise

Byspokes is always looking for new ways to fundraise for projects and activities. If you would like to help us out with this by organising a fundraising event, selling some homemade jam, helping prepare a proposal – or anything else you can think of – please get in touch here: info@byspokes.org.

Develop a project with us

Help us develop a project, or organise a training course! Do you know a community that could benefit from our expertise in sustainable development? If so, get in touch with us at info@byspokes.org and learn how we can work together to make a difference.
